Welcome to my first post. Well, maybe not the first first, but a first.

I recently migrated to a different web server, and unfortunately had my old site unceremoniously shut down before I could recover the database. And rather than reconstruct all the old posts, I’m just going to start anew. A digital tabula rasa, if you will.

So what am I up to right now, you might ask?

I have a string of game sites I have been publishing for the past couple years now. They are doing OK, but I need to put some more time into them. It can be hard with a toddler to take care of full-time, but I have learned to live without a lot of sleep.

I have a couple delightful pet projects I am working on. The first is a simple site featuring quotes I come across that relate to the debates surrounding constructivism/positivism and relativism/objectivism and the like. Talk about a Gordian Knot; I’m not normally inclined toward formal philosophy but I have become interested in these themes owing to my desire to further understand the science/anti-science zealots currently all the rage on public access TV. Being a full-on constructivist by nature and temperament, I of course called it how-I-feel-about-things.info.

In a fit of reddit-fueled pique, I also hit upon the idea to start making one-off joke pages just for shits ‘n giggles. First page is You Win the Internet! and features a delightfully ugly, blinking experience. I’ll expand it a bit more later, I’m thinking with a parody of high-pressure sales copy. Next up is Curb Your Dogma; I just registered the domain and haven’t decided on a direction yet.

So that is what I am up to at the moment. Raising a two-year old boy, cluttering the interwubz with my crap and dealing with being insane. Did I mention I love coffee? I do, and thank you for asking.
